About Pen & Ink Designs

Do you feel excited?

The Pen & Ink Designs Approach

When you work with Pen & Ink Designs you get a personal, bespoke and tailored design service.

The most important element of branding is drawing out what it is important to you and, therefore, it is vital that I build a relationship with my clients and truly get to understand their businesses. I want you to feel excited about your brand as a whole, as well as the designs and the story they tell.

I ensure that all of my clients know that they can come back to me whenever they need me. I always try to use their businesses in return too – we’ve got to support each other!

About Lauren Simmonds

What would you like to know?

What do I love most about my job?

I love the relationships I have with my clients. What I offer is not necessarily a ‘one-time service’ – all of them know that they can come back to me whenever they need me. In fact, so many of them have become good friends.

Where did it all begin?

My career in design started when I was just 17. I was studying graphic design at college and I decided I needed something to distract me from the crazy amount of coursework, whilst also helping me to push my imagination and build up my skills. I was lucky enough to land a job with a souvenirs company, helping to create artwork for UK tourist attractions, such as ZSL London Zoo, Windsor Castle, The Eden Project and Bodmin Jail.

I have also worked as an artworker and print assistant, for a local printer. I gained an incredible amount of knowledge related to different stock and printing methods, all of which help me to this day with my own designs.

I started Pen & Ink Designs in 2017 and I have worked with many incredible businesses since then. See some of my recent designs on my Portfolio page.

What do I do in my free time?

I’m a HUGE foodie and quite often try to find new places to eat at the weekends. I am a sucker for a cracking Italian or a well-made toastie…definitely more of a savoury girl than sweet!

I also love going out walking and finding new places to take pictures. I wouldn’t make it as a photographer, but I love taking photos.
